We are considerably happy to see that they are actually going with this idea as it will spark a great chance for the XF Sportbrake to be even more competitive and also offer a versatile offer to the buyers. The estate version of the Jaguar XF is here it’s a low-slung executive car with a practical boot and strong engines. The XF Sportbrake is available to order now, priced from £34,910 and is a British-made alternative to the Mercedes E-Class Estate.
Looking at the XF Sportbrake from the front, you’d struggle to tell if this is actually the estate version because it shares the same front-end looks as the XF saloon, complete with LED headlights and gaping air vents. Start moving to the side and you’ll notice the long roofline (that supports a roof rack capable of carrying 100kg) and a third set of side windows. The rear gets tail lights that look like chunkier versions of those on an F-Pace SUV.
Inside, it’s pretty much the same as the XF saloon in terms of design. The centre console is slightly angled towards the driver, and the dashboard wraps around you to give you more of a sportscar feel. You can get the cabin trimmed in a variety of high-end materials, such as polished aluminium, wood and/or soft grain leather. It doesn’t look quite as lavish as a Mercedes E-Class Estate, but it’s likely to feel sportier from behind the wheel. As standard the 2019 jaguar XF Sportbrake gets an eight-inch infotainment screen. Jaguar’s excellent 10.2-inch InControl Touch Pro system is an option it’ll be worth going for just for the sharper graphics and more responsive screen.

Under the hood we are looking at the same configuration for the 2019 Jaguar XF Sportbrake as its sedan version offers. The wagon model will carry over the 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.0-liter V-6 powerplants. The gasoline 2.0-liter turbo-four is set to make 238 horsepower and 251 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.0-liter V-6 will provide us with an output of 335 hp and 332 pound-feet of twist. As far as the diesel options come, we have the 2.0-liter four-pot making 161 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of twist, and a more powerful version of the four-cylinder that adds an output of 177 horses and 317 pound-feet of torque.
The range-topping model is the 3.0-liter V-6 turbo diesel version which springs to 296 horsepower and a whopping 516 pound-feet of twist. The base versions of the 2019 Jaguar XF Sportbrake are going to come with the same six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic as the sedan did. But the US releases will only offer the eight-speed automatic gearbox with the gasoline V-6 engines and the mid-level four-cylinder diesel ones. All-wheel drive is offered for all of the versions of the car. Depending on which engine the 2019 Jaguar XF Sportbrake comes with so will the 0-60 mph acceleration change.
The 2.0-liter turbo-four provides a 7 seconds acceleration to 60 mph while the supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 makes it in 5.4 seconds. As far as the diesel variants are concerned, the 2.0-liter four-pot has a 8.7 second spring, the powerful four-cylinder one is rated at 8.1 seconds, and the most powerful 3.0-liter V-6 turbodiesel gives us a 0-60 mph performance of 6.2 seconds. New EPA ratings have not been made for the 2019 Jaguar XF Sportbrake. We expect them to remain the same because the engines are not going to be changed. This leaves us with a rating of 20 mpg city, 30 highway, 24 combined, which the rear-wheel drive XF Sportbrake models used to make and a 20/28/23 mpg combination for the all-wheel drive versions.
According to the recent news, the 2019 Jaguar XF Sportbrake has already been given its base MSRP pricing. The starting trim is priced $47,450, with the diesel engine, while the V-6 variants will come at a price of $50,490. The XF S trim is firmly the most expensive model with a price tag of $62,700. The list of rivaling cars for the 2019 Jaguar XF Sportbrake is not that long but it is extremely competitive. The likes of 2019 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon and the 2019 Volvo V90 models are enough to mention here and are going to be the greatest force stopping the new XF Sportbrake wagon model from reaching its potential.
